I have a new and most hyped product for review for you guys today; the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in collaboration with YouTube blogger Nicole Guerriero. This was the most awaited highlighter from ABH and was all over social media. Let’s see if it’s worth the hype or not. Read the review below
About the product:
This is a limited edition glow-kit from ABH which was created by Nicole Guerriero. Nicole is a famous YouTube blogger with 2.8 million subscribers on YouTube and 2 million followers on Instagram. This glow kit got sold out on Sephora right after it was launched; I had to wait for some time to get my hands on to this one. Many of the famous beauty bloggers had posted reviews on this glow-kit so I thought of trying it too. I purchased it for $52CAD online on Sephora.com and got it within 3 days of ordering it.
- Six different shades; so you get a diversity of colours
- Highly pigmented; very pretty colours as well
- Since you get 6 different shades so $52CAD is worth the price ($8.66 per shade)
- 3 shades for fair skin tones; 3 shades for medium to dark skin tones
- Very Glittery highlighter
- Gets chunky and blotchy if you try and build it up on cheeks
- Glides on well on smooth skin but doesn’t go well on textured skin
- Fallout of colours
Swatches in flash light:
This glow-kit has 3 shades which are suitable for fair skin tone (Forever Lit, Kitty Kat, Forever Young) but medium skin tones can use some of these too. The other 3 shades (Daydream, Glo Getter, 143) are best suitable for medium to dark skin tones. When you swatch them, it’s really beautiful but glittery, I thought the glitter might not show when put on the cheeks but it did show up when I tried on my face. Although it is some blinding glow on the face but would not be best suitable for people who like subtle glow. It does glide very well on the smooth skin but would be blotchy for the textured skin. I really wanted to like this highlighter because their other glow-kits such as sun-dipped and that glow are my favorite but I felt this one did not do much justice to the ABH’s glow-kit line. From the price perspective, the variety of shades in the palette gives you a great deal. But overall I would give a 50-50 to this glow-kit.
